Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

TS Cuadernos de Trabajo Social is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. All authors certify that the submitted works are original and have not been copied or plagiarized from other works. The journal is committed to an objective and fair double-blind peer-review process and to preventing any conflicts of interest between the editorial and review personnel and the reviewed materials.

Duties of Editors:

  • Impartiality: Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual merit without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
  • Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and other editorial advisers.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in an editor’s own research without the express written consent of the author.

Duties of Reviewers:

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and may also help the author improve the paper.
  • Promptness: Any reviewer who feels unqualified to review a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
  • Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. They should also call to the editor’s attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published work they are personally aware of.

Duties of Authors:

  • Reporting Standards: Authors should present an accurate account of the work performed and an objective discussion of its significance. Data should be accurately represented and contain sufficient detail and references.
  • Data Access and Retention: Authors should be prepared to provide public access to the data if practicable and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication.
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their works are original, and if they have used the work and/or words of others, they must be appropriately cited or quoted.
  • Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently is unacceptable.
  • Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported work.
  • Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the study. Others who have participated in certain substantive aspects should be acknowledged as contributors.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript and all sources of financial support.
  • Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.

By maintaining these high standards, TS Cuadernos de Trabajo Social seeks to promote integrity in research publication and build trust in the published works within the academic community.
