Abstract

The neoliberal rationality has colonised the ways in which knowledge is produced at a global scale. A variety of devices that permit themeasurement of researchers’ productivity encourage from their parameters a kind of knowledge which has become hegemonic. This article analyses the ways in which social work has been involved into these dynamics of knowledge production. The possibilities of transforming research practices in resistance acts against the neoliberal rationality is examined in this paper, through the discussion of the notions of collaborative research and public engagement.
