Abstract

The results of the research carried out during the year 2021 in Valparaíso are reported, whose objective was to analyze, from a gender perspective, the meanings of the subjects involved in the execution of the Dignified Night Program (users and professional teams), in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Hogar de Cristo of Valparaíso. The qualitative study, with a phenomenological design, involved document analysis and in-depth interviews in the context of the pandemic, to which content analysis was developed. The strategies developed by the social policy, the tactics generated in the implementation of the Program in the context located in Valparaíso, as well as the meanings of the subjects involved in this process, women and professional team. It is concluded that the significance from the risk factors present in the street situation and the differences between being a woman and a man in this social situation.
