Abstract

For Modonesi (2010), the categories of subalternity, antagonism and autonomy - typical of the Marxist analytical tradition - are necessary to carry out an analysis of a political nature, as well as of the actions carried out around them. The present reflection considers as a basis that childhood is a historically subalternized social category (Modonesi, 2010) - and therefore - its capacity for participation and political actoria are limited, denying its antagonistic force and its possibilities of being multitude; which would allow the transit towards the obtaining of greater autonomies (Hardt and Negri, 2002). Having said this, the aforementioned enclave will be used to identify some manifestations of the problem of children's participation/accomplishment, where colonial practices (power, knowledge and being) and adult-centeredness are two other elements that allow the elaboration of a comprehensive constellation on the phenomenon of childhood.
